For those interested in the physiotherapy career, King Edward Medical University (KEMU), Lahore having launched admissions to Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT) has announced for the 2025-2029 academic year. As one of the premier medical institutions in the country, KEMU emulates a well-planned 5-year DPT course to nurture students for a successful physiotherapy career.
Eligibility Criteria
• Matriculation or Equivalent
Candidates who have secured 60% and above in Matriculation (or equivalent) qualification for their desired course can apply.
• Intermediate or Equivalent which included pre-medical stream.
Candidates applying for the entry test should have passed the F.Sc (Pre-Medical) or equivalent examination with not less than 65% marks in aggregate.
Any candidate who is sitting for an A-level examination must have sat for at least three sciences (Physics, Chemistry Biology or Mathematics). They have to get their qualifications recognized by the Inter Boards Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) as equivalent to an F.Sc (Pre-Medical).
• MDCAT Requirement
An original mark sheet of MDCAT is required for admission. The MDCAT-2023 or any prior MDCAT test scores cannot be used for entry.
• Domicile Requirement
In addition, candidates should be domicile holders of Punjab only.
The number of reserved seats is one merit-based seat for the candidates hailing from AJK Balochistan or Gilgit Baltistan.
Admission Criteria
The selection process is based on the following aggregate formula:
Matriculation Marks: 10%
F.Sc (Pre-Medical) Marks: 45%
MDCAT Score: 45%

Obtain the Admission Form
Application forms are available from the office of the School of Physiotherapy, Mayo Hospital/KEMU Lahore and can also be downloaded from the website https://www.kemu.edu.pk.
Make Sure to Fill and Forward Your Application
Send the form completed and submit two copies of the list of necessary documents.
Remit an admission processing fee of Rupees three hundred either in Allied Bank (Mayo Hospital Branch) or by pay order in favour of the Vice Chancellor, KEMU.
Ensure Completion
Applications with missing information or missing documents will not be accepted.

Additional Notes
Room and Board: There will be no hostel accommodation for students throughout their study.
The admission fee is foreseen and non-refundable.
The issues related to the late submission or incomplete submissions of the applications will be issues that will make the applications not be accepted.
