For the first time, formally, Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has declared delayed the final exams of November 25, 2024, in the urban zone of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. This decision has been made depending on the existing situation in these areas including the law and order. The university management after serious consideration of its student’s and employees’ safety has opted to postpone the exams.
Revised Exam Schedule
• The original Exam Date is 25th November 2024
• New Exam Date 20th December 2024 (Friday)
• Afflicted Area is limited only to the cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi
Subsequently, the university has made a statement that the examination centres, the venues, the timings, and the admit cards are therefore unaltered. Students are told to keep their admit cards intact and use the same information as that given earlier on their student accounts and cards. Organisations will remain valid for the new date of the examination.
Other Parts of the World Tests to Proceed as Scheduled

These exams will go on as usual in other regions of the country and other tehsils of Rawalpindi district including; Gujar Khan, Murree, Kahuta, Kallar Syedan, Kotli Sattian and Wah/Taxila. Students in these unaffected areas should sit their exams at the first predetermined dates and times.

Students who may have been affected by the changes in the dates of examinations are called upon to take advantage of the extra time that is now available. The university has made it possible for the new timetable of examinations not to affect other arrangements in a way that might confuse students.
For any additional information or changes, students can contact the Examination Department or visit the AIOU website. To basin jot down, being informed about any new announcement is very essential.
University’s Policy on Safety and Maintenance of Learning
This has been in consideration of the safety of its learners and others, including its staff and students and in achieving academic continuity of the Allama Iqbal Open University. With the present state of affairs, taking precautionary measures, the university intends to guarantee a safe and continuous examination session.
The university thanks students for their understanding and patience and calls on them to work harder to cope with such times.
