Khyber Medical University KMU Peshawar has announced the admission for the session 2024-25. This admission process pertains to public and private medical and dental colleges in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) as decided by the provincial cabinet and the department of health, KP. All applicants will be governed by KMU’s transparent, centralized Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) policy.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission, candidates must meet the following criteria:
• Educational Qualifications: At least 60% marks in the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC), FSC (Pre-Medical), or equivalent degree.
• MDCAT Score: Only candidates who passed either the MDCAT-2023 or MDCAT-2024 examination with at least 55% for MBBS and 50% marks for BDS shall be entertained.
• Domicile: The candidates must likely have a domicile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or the Merged Districts (MDS/EX-FATA).
Merit Criteria
The merit criteria for the admissions are as follows:
• 10%: Promotion with at least overall credit from SSC (Secondary School Certificate) or equivalent.
• 40%: Inter Pre-Medical / Biology (HSSC) or equivalent.
• 50%: MDCAT score.
How to Apply
KMU has perfected a fully online application system. Candidates must apply through the official KMU admissions portal (http://cas.kmu.edu.pk). The hard copy of the forms of application should no longer be used. This includes registration at the concerned portal, choosing the right category (Open Merit, General Self Finance, Foreign Self Finance, etc.), submitting necessary documents, and paying the application fee at BoK.
Admission applications must be filled out, especially for MBBS/BDS and open merit and self-financing seats. Admission registration also requires fee slips, and as such, applicants are advised to keep their original fee slips as only copies are issued to them.
